What got you into this business in the first place?
Wanted a creative environment while still using my Economics
degree and
business course background. Wanted to laugh a lot.
Advertising
met my requirements.
Is there a great client story you’d care to share?
Last time I was in L.A. on a shoot, we saw Woody Allen, Keifer
Sutherland,
Angie Harmon, and one of the Baldwin brothers. I still
wonder which one. The
client was too excited to care.
Do you have a method for coming up with ideas and
solutions for clients?
We brainstorm as a group on grass roots/promotional ideas.
For
strategy development, the account team works together with
creative and
we draw every last ounce of truth out of the
research. It makes for a
brief that everyone believes in and gets
passionate about.
What's the most important thing you've learned about
advertising?
That even though it can be frustrating and difficult, it beats pretty
much every other job out there. I’m especially reminded of
this
when I think about working in a bank.
What can't you live without?
My family of course, a television (I know that’s sad). Shoes. U2.
Bruce, and my little tiny perennial garden.
What are your plans for after advertising?
Singing professionally. Winning American Idol for Seniors (you
know
it’s only a matter of time before that show goes on the air,
don’t
you?)
Is there any food that helps you think more creatively?
Does wine count?
What’s your favorite sports team?
The 2004 State Champion Stoneham Spartan Boy's Soccer team,
and the BC
Eagles.
Do you have any pets?
No-Husband is allergic to cats and dogs and we’ve
killed every
fish we’ve ever had.
What was growing up like for you?
Moved around a quite a bit – 6 schools by the 6th grade – which
is why I can adapt to virtually any environment and be comfortable.
One drawback: 16 years of Catholic education. I feel guilt a lot.
Clients love that.
Do you have any kids?
3, Ryan who’s 13 and twins Julia and
Will, almost 7.
What was college like for you?
Probably could have gotten a lot
more out of it if I hadn’t been
having so much fun. But ended up
with my best friends in life
and terrific memories, inexplicably good
grades, and enough
education to get me this job.
