What got you into this business in the first place?
My introduction to the work world was plumbing & heating.
I was also interested
in art and design. I decided to fix brands
instead of pipes.
What was “your finest moment,” the thing you’re
most proud of?
Making the transition from working in a small design shop in
the UK to working for an ad agency in Boston.

A fun, energetic, and savvy group of professionals.
Do you have a method for coming up with ideas and
solutions
for clients?
I love to sketch, somehow ideas seem to flow magically onto
the page.
What are the primary characteristics of a
“Giant Killing” brand?
In the end, a giant killing brand looks and acts smarter than
its big,
dumb rival.
What driving career goals do you still have?
To get Americans to do the sensible thing and drive on the left.
What’s your favorite sports team?
The Harlem Hot Shots (a dance team authentic to the Swing Era).
Do you have any pets?
I like cats...beautiful, intelligent and low maintenance.
What was growing up like for you?
Dwi Cymraeg ddyn...Which means “I am a Welsh Man”, born
in
Newport, South Wales. Welsh as a second language never
took off since my
father is Irish and my mother is British.
What do you do for a good time when you’re not working?
I go out dancing with my girlfriend...Lindy Hop and Balboa,
two dances
from the thirties and forties.
Do you have any kids?
No, but I’m great at giving
advice to people who do.
