Cape and Islands. Our research for Compass revealed that their customers appreciated the way they were greeted and
treated. And they valued the way problems were solved in a cordial, neighborly manner. Advertising highlighted a respect-
ful customer/banker relationship, emphasizing a “Refreshingly Positive” banking experience. GH helped CompassBank
more than double its asset base in less than two years, leading to its sale to Sovereign Bank (which GH also introduced
to the New England market).
